Volunteers Make Bright Nights Brighter

for the 14^th Year in Stanley Park!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Bright Nights!**

You can make a difference by volunteering to help at Bright Nights in Stanley Park 2011. This event helps raise funds for the important work carried out by the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. Volunteers make the event run smoothly, and help brighten the lives of children and others who benefit from the Burn Fund. Our Volunteers Can Be Seen Everywhere…

 Whether you enjoy entertaining children, welcoming guests or helping behind the scenes, there are many jobs to choose from including:

v  Plaza Host

v  Costumed Host

v  Ticket Checker

v  Train Attendant

v  Parking Attendees

v  Front Gate Greeter

v  North Pole Host

v  Face Painter

We will try and assign you to the role that most interests you, but you may not be granted your first choice, so please be flexible and consider several different jobs. You will be assigned your role on event day according to where you are most needed.

 Volunteer Rewards

We recognize people – just like you, who work hard and are reliable!

After three volunteer shifts at Bright Nights, volunteers are eligible for a Volunteer Appreciation Gift courtesy of the Burn Fund and the Vancouver Park Board.

After four volunteer shifts, volunteers are eligible for a Letter of Reference that can be added to their resume. In January we will mail all volunteers a certificate with the number of hours volunteered. 

Be Prepared to Attend Our MANDATORY Orientation Meeting

Tues Nov 29th OR Wed Nov 30th
@ 3:00pm - 6:00pm

All volunteers are required to attend this orientation. The Coordinator will contact volunteers the week before the orientation to confirm the time of the mandatory orientation session.  Volunteers will be expected to confirm their volunteer shifts at this meeting, minimum 3 shifts per volunteer.

                                  Please dress warmly!  This is an outdoor event!  Hope to see you there!
